I know that with my last step up, my second monitor didn't work with Nightshift and I ended up using f.lux.Check our /r/AppleHelp FAQ and basic troubleshooting guide before posting. That is small and can be hard to read, but if you get close. The default text size of Finder was about 3/32 of an inch tall, in System Report it is about 1/16". Running this at full resolution makes text really small.
I was using a 5k iMac, so compared to the glass front retina screen, it is definitely not as crisp. I am still adjusting to the screen, this is my first time using a curved monitor. There have been a couple times where it seems slow to turn on, or it didn't wake on mouse movements along and I have to hit a key on the keyboard to get the monitor to turn back on.
I haven't had any issues yet when waking, yet. But it recognizes it as the DELL U4021QW and is listed as my Main Display It doesn't actually say either TV or monitor. To me it looks like it recognizes the display as a monitor. I previously bought a Dell U3818W only to find it didn't support nightshift (even though my Dell U3415W does), and it was a big PITA to setup it all up and then return it. You're the first person I've seen/read about with a M1 Mac and this monitor. I've scoured the internet and Dell site for this info, but can't find it anywhere. Do you have any full resolution issues/blurriness/etc?. If you put your Mac to sleep and then wake it, does the monitor follow along as expected? Any issues surrounding sleep/wake/detection of monitor upon wake?. Does nightshift work on the Dell U4021QW?. When you go to Apple -> About This Mac -> System Report -> Graphics/Displays.does the Dell U4021QW show up as a TV or a monitor?. Was wondering if you could answer a couple detailed MacOS specific questions for me: I understand that you're using the Dell included Active Thunderbolt 4/USB-C cable to connect to your M1 Mac Mini's USB-C/TB3 port. I have an M1 (MacBook Air) and I'm in the market for this 40" Dell U4021QW monitor as well.
